Susan Wile

I was born in Liberia, Africa because my father was a diplomat. I was an infant when we moved to the U.S., but when I was five, we moved to Holland, which felt like being dropped on an alien planet. I went to a Dutch school where I learned to read, write and speak Dutch. My sister and I became fluent in a matter of months, but I didn't learn to read or write English until I was eight. The first book I could read on my own was Dr. Seuss', The Cat in the Hat, which I loved. I have always loved animals too and being outside in nature.

I am a curious person and have done many different things for a living including shucking scallops, waiting on tables, managing offices, producing TV commercials, writing internal communications for a multinational corporation and much more. I am married and live with the sweetest rescue dog, three cats, four ducks and thousands of honey bees in the Hudson Valley.

EXTINCTION WARRIOR is my first novel.
